ROSE DE FEU
Bespoke Eau de Parfum, 2026
An olfactory portrait of Havasupai garden streams, plein air painting along the Grand Canyon’s North Rim during wildfire season, and the softened French florals of Aix-en-Provence. Created as a bespoke eau de parfum for painter Amery Bohling, Rose de Feu explores botanical perfumery as landscape, atmosphere, memory, and translation.

Rose de Feu was developed through a bespoke consultation process exploring memory, atmosphere, material preference, and sensory association.
The project began with a guided Scent Discovery Session using a curated set of natural perfumery materials spanning citrus, woods, florals, herbs, resins, and smoke accords. Materials were explored both instinctually and through memory association to better understand the emotional and atmospheric qualities Amery was drawn toward.
During consultation, references emerged:
Laying beside the stream at Havasupai Gardens,
Smoke-filled skies at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim during wildfire season,
French florals in Aix-en-Provence,
And the soft atmospheric light surrounding plein air painting in the American West.
The formula evolved across multiple revisions before arriving at the final composition.
The finished bottles were labeled by hand and packaged in a repurposed wooden cigar box accompanied by handwritten formula notes, scent strips and archival materials.
Classic 40ml atomizer bottle with additional 10ml travel atomizer, selected for daily use and portability between studio, travel, and exhibition environments.
Hand-labeled and accompanied by:
handwritten formula cards,
archival presentation materials,
and an add-on travel atomizer.
