LAURYN WYLDE
Lauryn Wylde is an olfactory artist, perfumer, and writer working with scent as a material of memory, place, and perception.
Her practice brings natural perfumery into conversation with botanical and material histories, psychology, art history, and olfactory heritage. Informed in part by her Potawatomi heritage, she is particularly interested in how relationships between people, plants, land, and sensory memory are carried through scent.
Moving between fragrance, writing, objects, installation, and research, her work considers olfaction not only as a sensory experience, but as a way of preserving, reconstructing, and interpreting our lived experience.
